What is the red tent?
It is an ancient practice where women + girls would gather together for support, connection, rest + reflection.
Why is it linked to the womb + menstrual cycle?
Traditionally women + girls would attend the red tent when they would reach their bleed in the divine cycle. They would learn about the divine cycle, the body, the bleed + fertility. It would include mystic teachings around the moon phases, + seasonal cycles. It was a place to honour their bodies as temples & make self-honouring choices.
Why is it so powerful to divine feminine power?
A woman's power lies deep within her womb space + the red tent was a place women would learn the sacred arts of healing, dream analysis, channelling, spiritual practices, clairvoyance of all types + how to ignite their intuition. It was a place women shared their deepest secrets in trust.
Why is it so important?
The red tent was a place women would share their deepest secrets + emotions in trusted sisterhood so no woman would have to carry their burdens alone. A place where great wisdom was shared. Somewhere safe to express, speak, storytelling + learn about the importance of being a woman. This was the foundation of woman's strength. Without this space there would be imbalance, so it served greatly for all that lived in the community.
